50 Cent is the master of the "art" of using controversy to elevate his career. But is his carnivorous nature overshadowing his music?

It all started with 50’s attack of pop rapper (at the time) Ja Rule. Like a hungry lion on a baby gazelle, 50 was able to pounce on the weakest member of the rap pack and rip the throat out of his career.

Smelling the blood in the water, 50 didn’t stop there.

He honed his ravenous instincts and used them for his next group of conquests.

50 Cent's "Piggy Bank"

Although it wasn’t his first tour of the slaughterhouse, 50 discovered the strength of his appetite for red meat with the release of “Piggy Bank” from his 2005 album “The Massacre.”

50 used “Piggy Bank” to attack industry big names like Fat Joe, Lil Kim, Nas, Jadakiss, Diddy and Cam’ron.

Those who were lyrically able (See Fat Joe’s “My Fo Fo” and Jada Kiss’ “Checkmate”) struck back but with little exposure and a smaller scope a visibility than 50, their attempts largely fell on selectively deaf ears.

Things just got nastier as 50’s rap collective, G-Unit, began to disband.

50 Cent’s Beef With The Game

50’s beef with The Game kicked off in early 2005 when 50 accused The Game of being disloyal for refusing to participate in Fif’s beef with other rappers. 50 also claimed that he wrote six songs on Game’s album “The Documentary” and did not receive credit for them. (Writing another rapper’s rhymes, by the way, is a cardinal sin in the rap game.)

The Game, of course, denied these claims.

During an interview with HOT 97, 50 then publicly dismissed Game from G-Unit, sparking a flurry of subsequent violent incidents.

According to reports, Game tried to enter the HOT 97 studio to confront 50 but was denied entry.

The situation escalated when tempers flared and one man ended up shot in the leg.

Although both rappers then announced their beef had ended, they both continued to throw verbal jabs at each other, even to this day.

50 Cent’s Beef With Young Buck

Although the 50/Young Buck beef had been simmering quietly behind closed doors, things came to a head during a Young Buck performance in Tampa earlier this year.

“**** G-Unit,” Buck screamed to the crowd.

“When I said I hadn’t received a royalty check, I wasn’t saying that 50 Cent took money from me,” Buck added. “I said it because it is real.”

“All that you see on me is street money and show money.”

50 launched a counterattack by releasing a taped conversation between himself and Buck in which Buck is heard crying and begging to be a member of G-Unit again.

This is when the proverbial fecal matter hit the fan.

Buck released the diss track, “The Taped Conversation,” in which he called Fif a “hoe” and likened him to the police for recording the conversation.

50 responded with a lengthy video post to Thisis50.com, attacking Buck’s street credibility and claiming that his abuse of drugs is what is causing his financial issues.

Buck hit back with numerous songs mentioning the situation, but this beef is still cooking.
